The 75th Anniversary of D-Day commemorations where on very large scale. Events and ceremonies where celebrated over a large number of days allowing veterans and members of the public to visit and enjoy many events and places along the historic Normandy Landing Beaches coastline of the Manche and Calvados departments of France.
This article features the events at Sainte-Mère-Eglise, known for its parachutist, American Paratrooper John Steele who who remained hanging from the church spire.
The yearly events at Sainte-Mère-Eglise are always with a sense of celebration of the Liberation of Normandy and this year was no exception, in fact I think it was one of the best as it featured, for the first time and musical parade made up of many American Marching Bands and choirs.
